Deleting Data & Accounts
This guide explains how to remove domains, delete organizations, and permanently delete your SweetCode Cloud account. All deletion actions require confirmation and cannot be undone.
Deleting a Domain
Section titled “Deleting a Domain”Removing a domain stops all event proxying immediately and removes the custom hostname configuration.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”None — you can delete a domain at any time.
- Go to Domains in the sidebar
- Click the domain you want to delete
- Scroll to the bottom and expand the Danger Zone section
- Click Delete Domain
- Type the full domain name (e.g.
ssp.yourshop.com) to confirm - Click Delete Forever
What Happens
Section titled “What Happens”- Event proxying stops immediately — requests to the subdomain will no longer route through SweetCode Cloud
- The custom hostname is deleted, so DNS lookups will stop resolving
- Destination configurations (pixel IDs, access tokens) associated with the domain are removed
- You should remove the CNAME record from your DNS provider after deletion
Deleting an Organization
Section titled “Deleting an Organization”Deleting an organization permanently removes it and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you can delete an organization:
- Remove all domains — every domain in the organization must be deleted first
- Cancel any paid subscription — if you’re on a paid plan, downgrade or cancel before deleting
The dashboard will show a warning if either prerequisite is not met.
- Go to Settings in the sidebar
- Scroll to the bottom and expand the Danger Zone section
- Click Delete
- Review the confirmation dialog — it lists all data that will be removed
- Type the organization name exactly as shown to confirm
- Click Delete Organization
What Gets Removed

After deletion, you’ll be redirected to the organization selector. If you have other organizations, you can switch to one. Otherwise, you can create a new organization.
Deleting Your Account
Section titled “Deleting Your Account”Deleting your account permanently removes your user profile, preferences, and all personal data from SweetCode Cloud.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you can delete your account:
- Leave or delete all organizations — you must have zero organization memberships
- If you’re the owner, delete the organization (see above) or transfer ownership first
- If you’re a member or admin, leave the organization from the Settings page
The dashboard will show a warning listing how many organizations you still belong to.
- Go to Settings in the sidebar
- Click the Account tab
- Scroll to the bottom and expand the Danger Zone section
- Click Delete
- Type your email address exactly as shown to confirm
- Click Delete Account

After deletion, you’ll be signed out and redirected to the login page. You can create a new account with the same email address later if you choose.
Recommended Deletion Order
Section titled “Recommended Deletion Order”If you want to remove everything — all domains, organizations, and your account — follow this order:
- Delete all domains in each organization
- Cancel paid subscriptions (if any)
- Delete each organization
- Delete your account
This order ensures each prerequisite is satisfied before moving to the next step.
